AFT ACTION UPDATE 1: COMPENSATION

FACT: The SMCCCD Board of Trustees claims that they are committed to social justice, including the principle that “all people…are entitled to a fair allocation of community resources.”

FACT: SMCCCD faculty are paid, on average, below faculty at other community-supported/”Basic Aid” Districts.

On average, an administrator in the West Valley District is paid 1.5 times the average faculty wage. Meanwhile, SMCCCD admin are paid nearly double the faculty wage.

SMCCCD administrators line THEIR pockets with “community resources” while our faculty wages stagnate. Where is the justice?

Take action for a fair contract. Wear your AFT shirt on Wednesdays and sign and share our petition to Chancellor Moreno and the Board.
