Dear Members,
At the 12/11 Board of Trustees meeting, we sunshined the list of contract Articles that we will bring to bargaining. See the below list. “Sunshining” is a legally required “announcement” of what the two parties intend to negotiate. This officially marks the beginning of our negotiations cycle for our 2025-2028 contract. Our first negotiation session will take place February 7, 2025, over Zoom.
We invite all members to attend our January 9, 2025 Flex Day session from 12:30-2:00 pm over Zoom (register here), where you’ll learn more about what happens next, including the mechanics of negotiations, the Contract Action Team’s (CAT) work on our first Board of Trustees action the evening of January 29, and the work of AFT’s Articles Committees (groups of members who propose contract proposals).
