Wednesday, March 10 and Thursday, March 11, 2010 in the spring semester

AFT Local 1493 Survey: Spring Break Week calendar
Select your preference for which week to schedule our District’s Spring Break in the future.
The choices are:
* the week before Easter,
* the week after Easter, or
* the week closest to the middle of the Spring semester.
If you have a different choice, you may select “Other” and describe your alternative preference.
Please complete this survey no later than Friday, April 18, 2008 and please only take the survey once.

AFT FACULTY SURVEY ON A COMPRESSED CALENDAR

In response to support expressed by faculty at Cañada College for a reconsideration of implementing a compressed calendar in our District, AFT would like all faculty to let us know what you think of this idea by responding to our Faculty Survey on a Compressed Calendar by clicking on the link above. To login to survey, enter any words for ID and password.

AFT 1493 2007-08 NEGOTIATIONS SURVEY
The current contract between the AFT and the District states “For the 2007 – 2008 and 2008 – 2009 contract years, each party can re-open up to three non-economic items in any article excluding Articles 8 and 9.” The AFT negotiations team is preparing to negotiate with the District the three re-openers for next year. One of your privileges as a member of AFT Local 1493 is to help us set priorities and directions on the negotiations process by giving us your input on what issues concern you the most. In order to help us develop new contract proposals, please complete our negotiations survey by clicking on the link above.

FACULTY POLL: 2007-08 ACADEMIC CALENDAR

Would you prefer an earlier or later start calendar for the next academic year?†
Please view the options and then tell us your preference

FACULTY POLL: PAPER OR ELECTRONIC CONTRACTS?

Now that the new AFT contract has been ratified by faculty and approved by the Board of Trustees, it is time to print a new copy of the AFT contract to distribute to all faculty. AFT would like to poll faculty about whether or not they would like to receive a paper copy of the contract for reference purposes. Or would having access to an electronic copy be sufficient? We will order paper copies only for those faculty who request them. Please respond by answering our quick online poll
